Perfect for first-time visitors to the city, this shorter tour traces the Royal Route from the Powder Tower to the Charles Bridge, via the glories of the Old Town Square and the Jewish Quarter.

What’s included

We start at the bottom of Wenceslas Square and make our way to the 15th-century Powder Tower before entering the Tyn courtyard and the Old Town Square with its town houses and famous astronomical clock.

We continue along the snaking alleyways of the old mediaeval town before ending on the Charles Bridge, gateway to the Lesser Quarter.

This is the exact route taken by countless crowned heads of state as they crossed the River Vltava on their way to be crowned at the hilltop castle.

The New Yorker building at the northwest (lower) end of Wenceslas Square, near the entrance to Mustek underground station.
